COLIN EASTON

Managing Director

Colin is a time-served chartered engineer with over 25 years of cross-industry experience. Certified in TÜV Functional Safety, he has proven expertise in the design, implementation and delivery of technical safety solutions.

Alongside Colin’s extensive technical safety and ICSS experience, his natural drive for quality and consistency have seen him develop company assurance processes, optimise process plants and improve operability across a variety of industries. It was these shared professional passions with Technical Director Mike McNeill which drove the inception of ControlPro as a company five years ago.

Colin has natural leadership abilities and is often requested by our clients to fulfil the roles of both technical lead and delivery team manager. His ability to offer balanced technical judgement and clear decisions around project value drivers has also seen him take on mentoring roles. This combination of technical expertise and team management skills makes him an asset to any project.

Mike McNeill

Technical Director

Mike has worked in the global energy industry for over 20 years. Since qualifying as a chemical engineer at Strathclyde University, he has gained extensive project and operations experience in the process control and automation field. Whether it be in the context of onshore / offshore troubleshooting, or energy optimisation / CO2 reduction projects, Mike has frequently led successful end to end control loop optimisation and plant de-bottlenecking projects.

Mike has a deep professional interest in technical safety implementation and a passion for energy optimisation, areas which have become his prime focus within the company.

With postgraduate qualifications in adult learning and assessment, Mike is well versed in both face to face teaching and online facilitation with groups from diverse backgrounds. He has developed a number of energy industry project and engineering specific education and training programmes, up to Masters Degree level, which he has delivered around the world.
